BAPTISM "Who ever welcomes a child in My name, welcomes Me." - Luke 9:46-48 Baptisms are specific to each family and can be done anytime throughout the year. Families will meet with Pastor Liz to discuss desires and learn meaning of baptism. Then schedule the ceremony during a worship service or as a private service. If you desire to be baptized or for your child to be baptized please contact Pastor Liz at 570-421-8520 CRADLE ROLL "Parents have the primary responsibility for teaching their children godly wisdom" - Proverbs 1:8-9 Parents of a baptized infant will receive pamphlets in the mail for the first 3 years of their child's life. These materials share ways to keep your promise to God to raise your child in the way of his words. FAMILY POWER HOUR WE ARE ALL GOD'S FAMILY! ALL ARE WELCOME! 1st Sunday of each month 9:15AM - 10:00AM (September through June) Bring your favorite breakfast dish to share & join in the fun of learning the daily lesson as a family. SUNDAY SCHOOL "Start children off on the way they should go and even when they are old they will not turn from it. - Proverbs 22:6 ALL kids ages 4 yrs. through 6th grade are welcome Sundays 9:15AM Using a combined whole group & age level classroom setting, the kids will learn the same lesson as the church lectionary through song, games, crafts, and bible readings. FIRST COMMUNION "And they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. - Acts 2:42 4th Graders Classes will form in the Spring as needed. First Communion is celebrated during Holy Week at the Maundy Thursday at 7:00pm. Anyone wanting to take First Communion please contact Pastor Liz at 570-421-8520 CONFIRMATION "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will act." - Psalm 37:5 7th-8th grade Kids in 7th and 8th grade will meet twice a month for 2 years to learn Martin Luther's Catechism, The old testament, The New Testament and how we as Lutherans see the world and our place in it today. Confirmation will take place on Reformation Sunday the last Sunday in October. Anyone wanting to be confirmed please contact Pastor Liz at 570-421-8520 Vacation Bible School Last week of July, 9:00am - 12:00pm We combine with the school age kids at Rainbow Trail Child Care Center to present a week long VBS. All kids in Sunday school are welcome to attend. Look for the theme and exact dates in May. ADULT BIBLE STUDY "Whatever you have learned or received or heard from Me, or seen in Me - put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
